A quite good choice for Ramen in Starling Mall. Located on the first floor the ambience is quite nice when you walk in with japanese music playing in the background. Staff is friendly. Colouring pens and paper with kids characters available for the little ones. Bento and rice options are available. Broth for the ramen was actually very dense and flavourful. Options for thickness and tenderness of noodles as well as amount of oil available. Overall a decent bowl of ramen. Would like the char siu to have more of the char flavour. Karaage chicken was alright but would prefer more chunky pieces. Gyoza a bit of a miss as preference is to have the bottom a bit more crispier. Salmon teriyaki was good. Overall a good place for your ramen fix though. Worth giving it a try.
The QR ordering system didn’t work, so the manager took our orders manually. He was very helpful and keen to ensure all our orders were put in correctly because every ramen can be personalised with noodles thickness and soup thickness.
We tried a variety of dishes:
– Ramen with all toppings is very generous and filling
– Special chashu ramen is something rare to find locally
– Saba fish set is superb value for money. I especially like that it comes with tofu instead of chawanmushi.
– Gyoza looks a bit burnt though. Tastes good.
We also liked the bean sprouts side and grinding sesame seeds.
Overall, this restaurant offers great value. Recommended and will return.
Nice place for a bowl of ramen. You can choose your noodle size and texture and the flavour intensity of your soup. I chose normal but it’s a tad too salty for me. The char Siew was nice and tender. Service was very good. This waitress, Andrea was particular helpful and friendly. Really appreciate the service.
A dear friend told me about one of the best ramen he had recently in Starling Mall that got me intrigued. With so many places to check out and I seldom eat in malls, I gradually forgot about it until one fateful day when I watched movie in the very same mall.
I searched high & low for the restaurant and finally found it. Despite being Saturday lunch time, we got ourselves a table.
The flavour strength of soup ranges from light, normal to strong but the waitress suggested normal just to be safe.
◾Buta Shogayaki Tonkotsu Ramen RM42.80 – he was right! The ramen has got to be one of the better in town. The broth was packed with flavour despite being normal strength (imagine if I ordered for stronger version). The pork belly slices were so generous and the egg yolk when mixed together, every slurp was heavenly.
◾Pork gyoza RM12.90 for 5 pieces was also generous in the fillings.
◾Unlimited refill of side dishes in the form of bean sprout and fish cake.
Another favorite ramen place going into my list.
The service is 👍🏻, the restaurant is clean, and staff are attentive.

However, both ramen dishes we tried are overpowering pork aroma. I would prefer the pork flavor to be a bit more subtle.
