The best curry laksa that I have ever eat !!! The soup tastes heavy and the meats are very fresh. I will definitely come to visit again with my family.
Staff are friendly and the lady boss looks pretty.
Kampung style curry only to know from the cashier they are from Kampar.
Like their curry not too heavily flavoured, sambal with dried shrimp is nice too, coffee is also okay.
Didn’t really fancy their roasted pork and charsiew though, some kampung style version is better than this.
Senior Chong, of Kampar origin, runs a stall in a Damansara Kim kopitiam. Son and DiL run this new restaurant. Clean, inviting. Comfortable with air-conditioning. Waited a bit to be seated on Saturday where at 1pm, the kitchen informed they had run out of roast pork and bbq pork. The patient largely erderly line in front, persisted, as we did. We were rewarded with seats shortly and proceeded to order via pen and paper – a white chicken curry meehoon mee. This was the best of the 3 varieties we sampled; aromatic, thick, addictive, drink-me-down like broth with a tinge of sweetness and umami in every scoop. I understood the wisdom of the queue at first bite! Lol. Assam laksa was ok – the sweet and sour came through lots of garnish, pineapple bits and fish meat. Lastly, the kampar noodle – was again, ok. Portions are of medium-iah size with balanced proteins and prices, cafe-like. The queue did not abate, so we ate and left quickly for others to have a go. A much younger generation were in a shorter line; prolly chose to have a later lunch to avoid the queue after 2p.m. – how clever.
Curry broth was creamy and very flavorful. Noodles blanched just right. The pak cham gai was tender but we found a piece which was borderline undercooked hence the 4* instead of 5* rating. Siew yoke was so so.
Very good laksa with cukup ingredients! Both curry and laksa soup are thick and flavourful!
Everyone should try the Kopi too!
