Authentic Baba Nyonya meals within the Taman Tun neighbourhood vicinity. Tried their Aussie beef rendang, it was tender and tastefully cook. Love their cendol as you can adjust the sweetness level according to your liking. For the Ubi Keledek leaf lover, this is the place you can find the Ubi Keledek leaf. They also offer very affordable and tasty lunch meals, dining entertainment fully aircond and glass door for privacy and safety purposes.

Extensive menu and authentic baba Nyonya cooking.

We enjoyed ourselves and all the dishes ordered were good.

However, the pricing makes this a place for a special occasion. For two adults and 1 kids, a bill of RM150 is a bit high.

We would certainly come back again, but only for a special occasion.

Parking at TTDI is like a lucky draw. Be patient or be prepared to walk.

We found this place on Google as I was craving some authentic Melakan Peranakan food.

Our friend grew up on the cuisine and he noted the menu included buah keluak, a sign of authenticity. We were all blown away by the flavors, reminiscent of the foods we had in our youths. For me it was the Itik Tim (duck soup) and the chendol (Melakan style), but to be honest everything else tasted so good I’d come back in a heartbeat.

The owner had a good chat with us and hoped we’d spread the news about his place. We hope these photos we took would help bring in some keen palates!

Stopped by this place on a Friday night, didn’t expect the whole area to be so bustling! Including the restaurant itself which had quite the crowd ! We didn’t pre-book but managed to get a table right away 🙂

Some of the items we had were :

✨ Starter : Pai Tee – The most unique style i’ve had its DIY where they give u all the ingredients and even allow u to refill the filling ! A great idea since its a starter and you can keep yourself occupied while waiting for your mains !

✨ Mains : Assam Fish, Ayam Pongteh, Lemak Nenas Prawns, Sambal Petai Anchovies and Kangkung Garlic
Overall the food portions (large) was really well portioned and generous. It was even too much for us 😂 Food is tasty the Lemak Nenas and Assam Fish def are not to be missed !

Finished it off with a Sago Gula Melaka which wasn’t to my liking as the sago was a bit too hard (possibly from being in the fridge)

🍽️ Overall food here is quite decent, very flavourful and well portioned.

However it is quite on the high end / a bit pricey as the meal came up to RM450 for 6pax (~RM75 per pax) including drinks ! (Provided we did have a large order + bigger portions too). Their drinks I find are very expensive [homemade]

Really good and authentic peranakan food! Finally satisfied my buah keluak craving. Other notable dishes: nyonya pineapple fish (loved the sauce), mutton curry and belacan sweet potato leaves.

    Owners were really friendly too…
