After many years (post pandemic) – we return to find that both the interiors, building and the neighborhood had aged noticeably. Despite this, the establishment still enjoys healthy patronage, even on a Monday afternoon. Thanks to its expansive space and abundance of tables, it remains a popular destination for those who “WFH”, students cramming for exams, and mobile entrepreneurs seeking a mobile office environment.
They take their coffee seriously, offering two regular options: a darker roast (Brazil/Colombia) and a lighter roast (Ethiopia). For those seeking something more unique, they also have a selection of artisanal single-origin coffees, though these come at a premium.
The menu is generally divided into two main categories: pastas and open-faced sandwiches. We tried the smoked duck aglio olio (7/10), seafood fettuccine (7.5/10), and guacamole croissant (6/10). While everything was enjoyable, nothing truly stood out as exceptional.
One minor issue did catch our attention—the wooden tabletop was noticeably sticky. We couldn’t tell if it was due to the paintwork or lingering food stains. A thorough scrub might be a good idea to enhance the dining experience.
The cheese sourdough sandwich with whipped butter was excellent. The Sirloin Steak medium rare was succulent and tasty. The duck aglio olio was wonderful as was the sourdough with avocado and hummus. The long black was most aromatic. The pannacotta was lovely. Lots of free parking available.
I’d give it an 7/10 la.
✅ positives:
-> food was SO good, the portion is big. worth the money
= ordered smoked duck aglio olio and rajang steam sandwich
-> coffee was actually super good also they have very interesting beans
= ordered americano with velvet beans (sour tastes quite strong) and vanilla latte (I LOVE THE LATTE but might be sweet for some ppl)
-> ambience not bad i like the industrial vibes, good for students to study n chill
-> got parking at their cafe so thats cool, and still got more right in front yay
‼️ mehs:
-1 = need to pickup instead of serve
-1 = sitting area quite bad, got a huge space in the middle but no table/chairs. so many students also so legit dont expect ppl to ciao soon ahahhaha. the long table also not stable and very small. we were lucky to change to a normal table
-1 = they ONLY serve coffee as drinks, they dont have non coffees
overall: would come again for the coffee only tho, wont rly dine in if no proper tables avail
This cafe is quite far away inside, big space cafe, high wall, outside look old and unappealing, But inside vibe was nice, when i enter nobody greeted me, i waited for a while nobody tell me where to order nobody give menu, no qr code, i walk to the counter and order myself.
Food was average we order beef rajang, not bad But very average, aglio olio taste quite bland, coffee soso. I think this place is good for working since the space is good But food and coffee need to improve, it too average nothin to shout about
I’ve been here many times for the good coffee, but this is my first time having a meal. We ordered the basil pesto pasta and the smoked duck Aglio Olio.
The smoked duck Aglio Olio was a bit too salty, but luckily we shared both pastas. The basil pesto pasta helped balance out the saltiness.
