Been here twice in the last one week and the experiences both times were just sublime. We had a degustation menu on the first night: lovely dinner rolls with (likely) in-house herb butter, lobster bisque, another yummy soup that I could not really identify haha (update: (maybe roasted) tomato soup – yums), (possibly) crabcakes, foie gras on some sort of cracker, lobster thermidore with truffle mash, capellini with either sea urchin or some fish, chocolate souffle and mango pavlova. The chef and her staff are lovely. If you are ever in Malaysia, give this delightful restaurant a try. You will not regret it.
We went here on our first anniversary & hubby’s bday celebration.
Greeted warmly by the waiter shortly begore the chef came for some short intro. Chef was fully aware of hubby’s requirements/remarks he highlighted during booking.
Atmosphere could be better for a fine dine.
Food is okay. Personally, i think their strength is on the/using salt.
We tried 7 course degustation menu & lobster angel hair.
Had an alumni event here and was served a 5 course meal. The entrees were nice, especially the coup. Very deep flavours. For the mains I went for the seafood dish. The soup came a little cold for me, but despite that, it still tasted good and the seafood was very fresh. One concern I had was that the shrimp intestine tract was still inside? We Malaysians are ok with this but the restaurant being a French fine dining restaurant, shouldn’t this be removed? Moving on to the dessert, the cake had a nice outer shell that we had to crack. It was a nice texture against the smooth creamy cake. Overall it was a good meal.
Had the vegetarian 7 course meal, we loved it especially the soup and mushroom “scallop”. They also have a vegan course (thank you for catering to different diets!) Service is prompt and polite. Vibes was cozy. We’ll be back for more vegetarian meals!
We have been here a few times and as a vegetarian I just love the food. Its clean, flavorful and sincerely crafted by Chef Isadora-pretty but not pretentious-real tasty wholesome food. Where vegetarians are not treated as an afterthought. Love the service and ambience too. Absolute favourite? Mangosteen pavlova-you would never see Mangosteen in the same way!!
