A wholesome Italian dining experience. Charcuterie board was divine, though we would love to have a variety of the cheese served; (such as Camembert/ blue cheese added into the selection as well)
Went for the ravioli as I was feeling adventurous, didn’t regret it one bit. The pizza was flavorful as well. We had their house pour red wine, it was light bodied and sweet.
I personally loved the cozy ambiance and the service was top notch too. They were super attentive 🫶🏼
Bottega PJ is a great spot to try if you’re looking for Italian cuisine. The pasta dishes are flavorful, though the portions could be larger for the price. The pizza is also delicious and well-made. One of the best deals is their happy hour from 6 pm to 8 pm, offering 3 glasses of spritz or wine for just RM60—definitely worth it. The service is attentive, and the overall ambiance is pleasant and welcoming. However, the washroom could use some improvement in terms of cleanliness and upkeep. Despite that, the food quality and experience make it worth a visit.
Overall, the food was bland in taste, and the portions were rather small. We ordered three dishes for two people, with a total bill of RM146.10. We didn’t order any drinks—perhaps this restaurant is more suited for those who enjoy wine.
I recently dined at Bottega PJ to celebrate my friend’s birthday. I had been wanting to try this place for a while, so I was excited and ended up ordering quite a few dishes. Every dish was delicious, and the service was excellent.
However, I did have an unfortunate experience. I noticed I was getting bitten by something while sitting on one of the chairs. As time passed, the bites became itchy and red, with bumps flaring up on both my thighs. I quickly finished my meal, went over to Watson and buy anti-itch cream then applied in the washroom. I even took an allergy pill to help with the reaction.
I suspect there may have been bugs on the chair, possibly due to pets being allowed indoors. I also have pets, so I understand the appeal, but it’s crucial to keep chairs and tables thoroughly clean if pets are allowed inside—especially in indoor settings without direct sunlight.
I really enjoyed the food and would love to return, but this experience has made me a bit hesitant about the PJ branch. I hope these areas can be improved as I would love to visit again.

At their price points, my expectations were much higher. The rigatoni carbonara was very well executed. However, dishes featuring seafood weren’t as fresh as expected, which was a major letdown. The choice of using pork ragu in Bolognese is also very interesting, of which the gaminess was overpowering, and also visually disappointing.
With the quality I was presented with, the dishes are significantly overpriced in my opinion. I’d say Bottega is worth a try, but I wouldn’t return as a regular.
