I made a reservation for a family lunch via WhatsApp and requested outdoor seating. Even though it was a Sunday, the restaurant was quiet and peaceful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The Mexican-themed ambiance was lovely, and with the breezy weather, sitting outdoors was the perfect choice!
We ordered nachos, tacos, quesadillas, and pizza for five of us (you can check out the pictures!). The meal was incredibly satisfying and very filling. The food overall was delicious, though I wish the nachos had a bit more toppings. A standout dish for us was the duck pineapple tacos—an absolute must-try for anyone who enjoys pineapple on pizza!
The total bill came to RM207.65 for everything, which we thought was pretty reasonable for the portion sizes and variety. The staff were super friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better.
It was such a pleasant meal, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!
The restaurant features charming Mexican-inspired decor, creating a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. It offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with the outdoor area very windy from the big fan. The food portions are generous, making them perfect for sharing. It’s an ideal spot to unwind and relax after work.
The food was overpriced and mediocre. I ordered the steak and it was by far the most disappointing dish i have ever eaten, and was RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. I asked for medium cooked, when it arrived it literally tasted like it was BOILED. (The price was rm300++ 🥲) even the sauce could not save it. The service staff seemed unfriendly and kind of did not understand basic english. I’m sorry but only good thing about this place was the atmosphere and environment. Also the passionfruit mocktail was extremely sour
Gave them a chance as most of the reviews were good but actually it wasn’t worth the money. It’s sad to see that clearly most people who have visited this place have no understanding of what good Mexican food or good margaritas actually mean.
As it was a new place I tried margaritas first which were disappointing. At first they were made with lime juice which came from the bottle and tasted chemical and bad. As before ordering I specifically asked if they use fresh lime juice they apologized and tried again. Sadly it didn’t go better as it was light and still tasted weird and there didn’t seem to be any alcohol at all. My drink go to order is always margarita and I could say that I know the difference between bad and good margaritas. But this place has no understanding how to make margaritas.
My wife ordered frozen margarita and we specifically ordered without sugar or syrup (as it’s supposed to be) but they brought premade syrupy slushy. They replaced it once I called it out, but received the worst frozen margarita I have had in Malaysia.
Once I had the margarita experience I decided to see if at least their food is worth the hype, but it wasn’t. Ordered the fish taco, which tasted like mud.
If you happen to find in the situation where you accidentally chose this place, only thing to order is tortilla chips with pico de Gallo – only solid choice there 🙂
If you want to have good Mexican food and drink experience I recommend going to any La Boca location, as they know what they are doing, but avoid Chica Bonita as they are not worth your time nor money.
The environment is the best. Price is affordable.
Foods are ok for me. Too much cheese. You will love it if you’re a cheesie
Staff seems to be ignorant sometimes
Need more smiles on the face
Overall, good but not going to come back.
