Visited for a special occasion, and the French cuisine here features a slight twist with local ingredients.
While the kaffir lime leaf-infused butter was innovative, I found the flavor a bit too strong for my liking.
On the other hand, the main dishes were all delicious and well-cooked. I appreciated the balance of flavors, with a touch of zing, such as the pickled cauliflower paired with regular cauliflower in the fish dish. The beef we had was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful despite missing the char I usually expect in steak dishes.
Although I’m not a wine person, my friend and I shared a wine pairing and it complemented the meal beautifully.
However, the pineapple dessert was a bit disappointing.
The staff did a great job explaining each dish and wine pairing.
Overall, it’s worth a return visit.
5-Star Review for Cinq
We had the pleasure of experiencing Cinq’s Christmas menu, and it was nothing short of exceptional. What stood out the most was the creativity in every dish – each course was thoughtfully crafted, showcasing the freshest ingredients and an impressive balance of flavors.
The young and talented team, both in the kitchen and in the dining room, truly elevated our evening. Service was impeccable, warm, and attentive without being intrusive. A special touch that left a lasting impression was being served a generous extra glass of wine, which added to the festive spirit.
Cinq is a gem for anyone who appreciates fine dining with a touch of innovation. Highly recommended, especially for a special occasion!
Really enjoyed the food here. The chicken roulade and apple terrine dessert really blew me away; the former had a great combination of flavors from the foie gras, prune and sauce, while the latter was exquisitely prepared with the flavor from the apples coming through without being overpoweringly sweet.
I might be biased since I rarely eat French cuisine, but this has to be one of the best meals I’ve ever had.
We received a lot of complimentary dishes, and they paired really well with the appetizers and mains we ordered.
The food tasted amazing, but unfortunately, I can’t describe it in detail since the flavors were unlike anything I’ve experienced before.
The service was top-notch. I could see that they are trained well. It was very thoughtful to give palate cleanser before enjoying dessert.
Had a wine pairing event and the food was well prepared and executed. Service staff were alert and provided a comfortable experience. Food wise each dish was presented well at about the right portions. But as a French cuisine outlet, expected the sauces to be slightly heavier. To me it was a bit light. Perhaps technically that’s the chef’s way of localizing for patrons. Overall I will return
