Had their lunch set (available from 11.30am-2.30pm), which came with rice, soup, a meat dish of your choice, and 3 banchan. The portions are quite generous. FYI for the lunch sets, the banchans are not refillable, but they give quite a good amount, so I think it’s okay. The price was reasonable and the food was tasty. Tried their hot honey citron tea and enjoyed it. It has a unique flavour, quite distinct from the usual honey lemon tea. They also provide a complimentary jug of plain tea for the table, which I really appreciate! Overall, the meal was great and will definitely come back again! 🫰🏽
Went there last night with a couple of friends and I was pleasantly surprised with the service and the food.
One of my friends is a regular there so he suggested that place for dinner and we all loved it.
Food is authentic, cooked by a team supervised by the Korean owner. Portions are good, food is very tasty and prices are very affordable.
We really enjoyed our meals and will go back again soon.
We dined at Dae Jang Gum Korean Restaurant, a cosy spot owned by a Korean national. The food was delicious and full of flavour. Just a heads up—the restaurant is on the first floor, so be prepared to walk up a flight of stairs.
Hidden gem of Korean dishes in PJ, is owned by Korean. Dwaeji GukBap (Pork Soup), comes together spicy paste and dried shrimps to be mix and stirred by ownself adjust the spiciness, turns out great.
Have a set of bbq meats (soy) and this dwaeji gukbap , add on steamed egg (Korean style). The steamed egg not overcooked and burnt smell, everything just delicious and remain it’s egg flavor.
It’s owned by korean
I didn’t try the kimchi soup but the pork bulgogi
It tastes sweet savory
The place looked busy when I was there.
Thing that I notice, their kimchi tastes a bit different.. I think there’s a wasabi in it. That makes the kimchi taste unique.
The banchan is only 3 (depends if u eat more then u will get more), I was only 2pax.
Perhaps next time will try other dishes.
Will come again? Yes
Will recommend? If u feel like korean food n in that neighborhood, yes
