Visited Der Backmeister at TTDI for a hearty breakfast and was thoroughly impressed! The highlight of my meal was the German meatloaf served with perfectly scrambled eggs, a side of fresh bread, tangy mustard, and a small serving of sauerkraut-style cabbage. The bread was outstanding – soft on the inside with a crisp crust, just the way it should be. The meatloaf itself was flavorful and satisfying, with a texture that paired beautifully with the eggs and mustard.
I also grabbed a glass of refreshing iced tea to wash it all down. To satisfy my sweet tooth, I couldn’t resist taking home a Chocolate Pistachio Danish and a Vanilla Loop. Both pastries were delightfully rich and not overly sweet – just the right balance.
The ambiance of the bakery adds to the experience, with rustic wooden tables and a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Prices are reasonable for the quality and authenticity of the food. Highly recommend for anyone craving a taste of Germany in KL!
Thanks to the friendly owner, we had a delightful breakfast! It was amazing that two of us could eat to our hearts’ content for just around $10-12. Of course, we couldn’t resist ordering an apple strudel and coffee on the side as well.
Speaking of coffee, the generosity here was incredible! The portion was much larger compared to other brunch spots, making the whole experience even more satisfying. Though I’m not sure if I’ll have the chance to visit again before leaving Kuala Lumpur, I truly enjoyed my meal. I’d love to come back in the future! Plus, I was really surprised that our order was served within just three minutes 🙂
My husband and I tried this place for the first time. Service was good right from the start. Their staff Moien was superb and super friendly and knowledgeable. He recommended me the avocado sandwich and it was one the best I’ve tried in kl. Definitely coming back for their breads too. Keep up the good job guys!
The food here is great and reasonably priced, especially for the area it’s located in. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stop by here again!
The food we tried:
1. Ham & cheese sandwich
2. Tuna melt
3. Chicken pesto sandwich
4. Avocado egg sandwich
All of it was extremely good and the sandwiches are made with freshly baked bread. The coffee was AMAZING too!
Got a table but place was pretty crowded at 11 am on a Sunday morning. Coffee aroma was strong, welcoming!
Order at the counter and the food came fairly quickly. Portions are decent too.
