Don’t bother coming. Food is bad, sub standard frozen heated croquettes and paella with mussels that are dried out and cannot be eaten. At least staff were keen and quick enough to replace the croquettes that were not heated up properly (cold inside) and removed the cost of the appalling paella. The staff very nicely tried to recover the service by serving a free dessert too.

Some may find the over the top Spanish themed decor cute, but feels more like a tourism board advertisement trying too hard.

I find it hard to understand the number of high ratings on this restaurant. There are many better places to go in KL.

This meal was a pleasant surprise! My boyfriend and I randomly walked in while looking for a dinner spot, and it turned out to be a great choice. The food suited my taste perfectly. We ordered a Rib Eye Steak (4.5/5) cooked to a perfect medium rare, a Pinchos Mix Tapas (2.5/5), and a Paella Arroz Negros (5/5), which was outstanding—the rice was cooked just right. I highly recommend giving this place a try with your partner or friends!

Spanish cuisine to treat ourselves on the final week of 2024! Saw someone enjoying the food at this place which is near our office so dropped in to try.

They usually have good value set lunches but when we went, they said that the sets were not on offer cos year end and will start again next year 😕 We then ordered two mains and a dessert to share

Pizza Margherita – very good pizza! This was the thin crust type and the dough was super warm, toasty and chewy. The pizza had just the right amount of cheese, tomatoes and sauce thus it wasn’t too cloying.

Seafood Paella – also another great dish! We ordered the two pax portion and the pan came with a generous amount of seafood – succulent prawns, mussels, clams and loads of cubed cuttlefish. The seafood tasted fresh and together with the infusion of the sauce with the Valencia rice, the dish was definitely something I would reorder.

Churro – Although we were sufficiently stuffed with the two mains, we just had to try their churros too. The dough was light and crispy, and the chocolate sauce complements the sticks very well. A personal preference of ours was we wished it didn’t come with the additional sugar cos it’s a bit too sweet.

All things said, a very satisfying lunch, in an aesthetic restaurant. Will definitely be back for their lunch sets

P/S: free garlic bread were great, too!

Wonderful experience. The paella was absolutely wonderful, very nicely seasoned and presented. The restaurant had a very nice feel to it, very warm. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the place reminded me of restaurants in Madrid. Very nice.

The atmosphere is nice, with several areas to enjoy (inside, upstairs and entry patio) that include great paint, images & decor. The service was good, nice effort and attentive to delivery. The food quality was mixed, The prawns were cooked perfect, but floating in an excessive bath of oil & butter. Same for the mushrooms, which was almost a hearty soup rather than sauteed. The vegetables with my main were soaked in oil and butter, missing out on their own flavours, but my disappointment was with the meat. Tenderloin should be plump, juicy and stand on it’s own with light seasoning. Mine came sliced, slightly overcooked and again doused with butter / oil. The accompanying jus was that of roast beef, better was the jus from the mushroom sautee.
We really enjoyed the atmosphere of El Cero and would recommend you to try. This review is intended as constructive comments, not negative but supportive.
I come from many years in the industry and only want to see places like this thrive and become known.
