1st time here. Recommended by a fren. The food is great (pix is what we ordered) & I hv been looking for good sourdough bread & this is one of them the other is The Bread. The restaurant is clean & service is good.
Family brought me to this cafe. Its speciality is sourdough bread, so we tried the sourdough with black sesame hummus and mushrooms (RM26). The bread is crisp and the hummus is filling. This is suitable for sharing as one portion of hummus seems too filling.
We also tried cafe latte and hot chocolate, which were fine.
The metal chairs are not suitable for long hours of sitting though.
My beef sandwich has too much sauce till the bottom of the sourdough got wet, not comfortable when I ate with both of my hands…Tried cofffee, good. Tried their RM 18 soup….erm…Why so expensive ar…Soup abit normal normal only, tried sourdough banana cake, OK good… Overall good, service is attentive, will come back
Best croissants I’ve ever had so far. I’m based in Melbourne and have tried the likes of Lune and Agathé (considered some of the pastry cafes in Australia) but this place far surpasses any of the pastries I’ve had in those places.
The sourdough gives the pastries a unique tang and they have a beautiful texture. Highly recommended!
This is my usual meet up spot when I am in KL.
My favorite bakery cafe. Love the sandwiches and pastries. Coffee is excellent too. Look out for their special offers. When I allow myself carbohydrates from time to time, it has to be worth it and the breads and pastries at Halla Holla are totally worth it.
