Came to try a few of their dishes. I ordered the Babi Garam Nasi Lemak, Pork Ribs Berempah Nasi Lemak, Ayam Goreng Berempah with Mee Siam, Nyonya Zhang, and lastly the Cendol.
Let’s get the carbs out of the way first. The Nasi is quite fluffy but a tad dry to me. The mee siam was not bad with the lime squeezed in which is a flavor bomb. I love that.
Let’s talk about the protein. The Babi Cili Garam is not bad. Even more spicier than the sambal. The heat is good, just abit dry for me. The deep fried pork ribs on the other hand is fall off the bones. Its pretty well cooked and crispy. The Ayam goreng is my favourite of the bunch. It’s super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The extra rempah crunch is the cherry on top.
The sambal is on the sweet side but its quite flavorful too. Though I’d prefer sambals to be spicy, but I dont have much to complain about this. There’s extra serving of sambal on each table in a container as well in case not enough. I’m the nasi kandar kinda guy so I like to drench white rice with something saucy, but its not fair for me to compare nasi kandar with this. With the deep fried protein, it probably made the dish overall on the dry side, and i wish there’s something ‘wet’ to give it a contrast.
The Nyonya chang IMHO is abit normal to me. I’ve had better ones. Would appreciate if the filling is more.
Lastly the cendol is the hero here. The cendol strands are very different from the roadside cendol. It has some springy texture to it. The gula melaka is the wow factor here. Overall it’s very flavorful and one of the best I’ve had so far in KL. This is a must-have if you’re coming here.
I actually tried coming back a second time but it was past 3pm and is past their lunchtime so they couldn’t serve me. Next time then.

We had nyonya curry laksa, pork rib & cendol. Service was slow very difficult to get their attention although they have QR code ordering system. Their speaker (which play nice song) is not functioning properly. It cause unnecessary noise to the restaurant atmosphere which impacted to our dining experience.

    Overall experience:
They offer a nostalgic dining experience with traditional flavors and a cozy, homey atmosphere.

    Food:
The nasi lemak was enjoyable, served with Ikan bilis and peanuts, which paired well with the sweet and spicy sambal. The curry pork was tender and flavorful, with rich, savory notes. However, the siu yuk was not as crispy or flavorful as I expected to my tastes. A standout perk was the free cucumber refills, adding a refreshing touch to the meal. To finish, the cendol impressed with its thick coconut milk, a bold gula Melaka flavor, and a generous serving of toppings.

    Service:
    Service was friendly and efficient.

    Cost:
Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes and quality of food.

I’m here because of nasi lemak pork ribs. So first taste of the marination of the pork ribs want good and with the right spices and flavor. Only downside was the pork was bit overcooked hence hard to bite. They also gave generous amounts of pork lard. The sambal was delicious slightly spicy and seeet but average to me la. As I can find somewhere better. I also tried the pork satay. It’s ok for me the taste. Still not the best one I get. Service was good and pricey is on the high side. Will I come???? Maybe not or maybe so. But I can find one pork nasi lemak better taste with better pricing.

I tried the Mee Siam with Curry Pork and Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng. Overall, the food was not bad. The curry pork was tender, and the ayam goreng was fried till crispy, though it was a bit oily. The sambal provided was very spicy, which wasn’t quite to my preference.

I would recommend the Cendol—soft and smooth with a decent balance of gula Melaka and red bean. It wasn’t overly sweet, making it suitable for those who prefer a lighter sweetness and a less concentrated syrup.

If you order kopi, whether iced or hot, it comes with a cracker.

The ambiance was comfortable, and the staff, though all foreign workers, were quite attentive. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
