As an ardent Penang Laksa fan, i was left with disappointment since the laksa taste is not up to my expectation. If only the laksa is more sourish, then it will suit better to my tastebud.
Best laksa utara in town (or even Malaysia).
Kuah quality is consistent since I first tried this many years ago.
Highly recommended.
Very rude, I come around 12.30am.. the food was delicious, but the service is extremely poor. I was slurping the last bite when one of their staff approach me and said they want to take the plate because they want to close the shop. I literally STILL EATING! VERY RUDE!
Have been a long loyal customer for laksa Rahim since covid-19. Good taste for Laksa Utara and Jannah has been providing good service to me and my family
Rahim’s Penang Laksa was close to perfection but not enough to beat the Chinese hawker stall that sells the same dish in Medan Selera Section 14.
Everything had been prepared in advance to expedite takeaway orders. The gravy, which is usually cooked the day before is stored in a large thermos container almost piping hot.
Penang laksa gravy does not have coconut milk (santan) in it, therefore will not go bad within the same day, unlike Terengganu style laksa. In fact, the stall owner said that his customers prefer his Penang laksa gravy to be prepared on the previous day as it tastes much better.
Rahim’s laksa also comes in a frozen version for customers who prefer to keep at home and consume much later. Two portions are available: Standard (RM7) and Large (RM9) with extra noodles and gravy.
The standard portion is enough to satiate light eaters and weight watchers. If you’re really hungry, go for the large one instead of buying an additional standard serving.
