Had lunch here and really really love the food. The tacos were very good. We had the beef soft shell tacos and it tasted great. The beef was very tender and juicy. The enchiladas was delicious as well. The nachos dip was very special and tasty. Definitely will come again to try other stuff on the menu.
Las Carretas has been on my list of restaurants to try for ages and finally I managed to pay them a visit. Service wise no complaints really. Took some for us to get settled in but understandable that on a Saturday night things do get a bit busy.
Food was sadly a slight let down for me. We ordered quesadillas, jalapeno poppers, mexican chicken soup, enchiladas and nachos. The portions were a bit small for the price paid (Nearly RM35+/dish). Taste wise not much different from their competitors. Was hoping for much better quality from them.
One main dish was left out of the order and arrived 30 minutes after the rest of us had finished. Staff did not want to admit it was their error, but when prompted they comped us a dessert dish. Pretty fair of em.
Also tap water here, only bottled.
Apparently a restaurant that stood through the test of time here in Taipan. Food was good, service was exceptional.
Many ordered their fajitas which was sizzling and smelled heavenly.
Parking wasn’t difficult on our visit.
Looks like we all agree with an overall 5 stars…
If you notice, I chose 3 stars for ATMOSPHERE. Why? Because the tables too close together. That was also a reason why I didn’t order Fajitas. We ordered 2 different portions of Fajitas. One was beef another was Mix (Beef & Chicken). It was good.
Oh, if I may… I think the Margerita was a bit over hyped. Then again, maybe to me, it’s all the same. Nothing great la…
