It is an institution. I started to know uncle Lau Wan in early 90s when he was serving at Kelana Jaya. Kue tiaw wa always good and fast service. Price isnt low.
Fried Kuey Tiau is really not bad. Enough dry and taste nice. Other so so… Rice too wet. Not enough dry. 16 year Liao…
Quite decent CKT at affordable price. Drove all the way from Damansara with friends after seeing a TikTok review. The uncle and auntie is friendly. Generous amount of cockles but portion can be bigger, and the “wok hei” can be stronger.
Went here recently, and it’s still heavenly good. Perfectly seasoned, not too spicy or salty with smoky wok hey.
The “restraint” in this CKT is what makes it great. Everything is just right, at the edge of subtle but never overdone. It’s easy to dump lots of seasoning & spices in food to make it tasty, much harder to nail the sweet spot without going overboard
Paired with a glass of Leong Sui, it was a perfect meal. This place is a national institution. Hope I’ll have many more opportunities to eat this amazing food.
Owh, got to try The nasi goreng too. Very good. Again, subtle flavor, lots of wok hey. I wolfed it down instantly.
Absolutely recommended. One of the best ckt, period. Food that’s worthy as an ambassador for what malaysia can offer.
The char kuetiau was good with only two prawns but the tahu bakar was way too crispy for me. It’s like eating keropok.. Price is tiny bit expensive for me considering it is located in food court. So far ok la not bad
