Little Jakarta is a restaurant serving Indonesian food located at Happy Mansion, PJ. As it was open on the 1st day of CNY, we decided to try it out. For drinks, we ordered the Soda Gembira, Ribena Lychee and Alpukat Juice (Avocado Juice). For sharing, we had the Tofu Bakar (this is really good, a bit oily but tasty with the sauce). The Bakso is pretty ok, although the soup wasn’t as thick as I like. The Soto Ayam was quite alright and we paired it with the spicy sambal. The Kangkung Belacan and ikan Bilis Tempe were quite good. There are many other things on the menu which we hope to be back to try.
Soto Ayam is hearty and not spicy. You can add the sambal on your own, and it is very spicy.
The flying fish is a good value for price and perfectly fried to keep the mean moist and the bones crunchy that you eat them.
I am not a big fan of Petai (stinky) beans, but I tried some with shrimps and sambal sauce. It seems a bit pricy, but there are plenty of shrimps to eat.
I really enjoy the avocado juice cause it was not over powered with chocolate syrup.
Really Good Food, went there twice this week. Friendly and attentive staff, food came quickly. Will be going back to try everything on the Menu. Ayam Bakar very juicy and tender. Highly Recommended !!!
First time being here , looking at the menu, beef balls look big and juicy. RM14-15
Alas, really disappointed with actual food , beef balls are small and hard, 3 small pieces beef meat which were really hard.
Small portion of food
Overall not value for the price paid.
This is a nice little restaurant that serves Indonesian food. We shared some dishes and it was really tasty and not expensive. The chicken bakar is definitely worth a try. I am not to fond of the taste of avocado but their avocado shake was really delicious. Also the chili eggs are good.
