For me, food is the most important part of a restaurant, so although the environment and service are good, I’m still giving it 3 star because the food to me is just average.

We ordered Yum Yum egg, Honey chicken with sesame, kangkung belacan, fried crispy squid.

Yum Yum egg is actually sunny side ups with a thick starchy meat sauce on them. Strange combination. If the sauce was less starchy, it would have been better.

Kangkung was the best dish. Nicely fried to perfection, Belacan taste was apparent but not over powering.

Honey chicken with sesame was more like sweet and sour chicken (but more towards sourness) sprinkled with sesame. Chicken were meaty chunks, but the sauce is not what I expected. Too sour for sweet and sour, and not the usual honey chicken we’re used to.

Crispy squid is not really crispy, but lumpy. Squid is very chewy, lots of chewing required, and the batter very clumpy, more batter coated basil (I believe it was basil, but can’t be sure) than squid. Again, not the crispy squid that we’re used to.

Overall, food is different from what we usually have, and the flavor combination is a little strange.

.The restaurant boasts a pristine and welcoming environment, making it ideal for family dinners and convivial gatherings. Typically frequented by a mature clientele, the upstairs seating offers a more private and spacious alternative when the ground floor is fully occupied.

The menu boasts an impressive array of dishes, perfectly curated for those with a penchant for variety. The food is delightfully satisfying, exceeding expectations for casual dining with its well-executed flavors. Service is impeccable, and the ambiance is both warm and unpretentious. The flavors are vibrant, each dish harmonizing beautifully with rice. Opting for the chef’s recommendations proved rewarding, as each selection was a standout. My final assessment? An emphatic two thumbs up! 👍👍

In sum, this venue provides an elevated yet unpretentious dining experience, making it an excellent destination for anyone seeking both comfort and culinary sophistication.

Hidden gem for Penang style Nyonya food. First visit here and will definitely be back soon! We tried most of the chef’s recommended dishes which did not disappoint.

This is the place that you should eat with your families or co-workers. The portion is pretty much for sharing (hence the higher price).

Whatever in the pictures are the one you should order:
    – fried brinjal
    – creamy basil chicken
    – sambal petai prawns
    – paku masak lemak
    – crispy salted egg sotong
    – fried egg special

The service is also good. My advice to the owner is to upgrade the round table. The one we used was a bit flimsy.
