Definitely one of the most affordable Wagyu steak places in town. They have a variety of wagyu steaks as well as Tomahawk cuts and they grill it over charcoal using a Josper grill.
I tried their black pepper sizzling steak then came sizzling. It came with a bowl of Japanese fried rice. The steak was super tender and juicy with a pink centre. The spaghetti bolognese was fine. The mushroom soup was pretty decent and the homemade fried potatoes were very good.
This is a cozy neighbourhood steak house where the staff remember their customers and the customers know the staff by name. Not many tables and it’s great for dining alone, a couple or small groups of close friends or family.
A must-try for wagyu lovers as not many places have charcoal grill steaks.
Dinner at Lucky Bo Steakhouse, Jalan Bangkung
Lucky Bo Steakhouse is one of those places you walk into and immediately feel like you’re in for a great evening. The cozy vibe, combined with the stunning artwork on the walls, set the tone for a memorable dinner.
We started with the Seared Foie Gras (85GM), and wow—what a treat! For RM85, the portion was surprisingly generous. The foie gras was perfectly seared, with a crisp, golden crust and a rich, buttery interior that melted in the mouth. The sauce was equally amazing, with flavors that lingered beautifully, almost like the foie gras itself had infused it. It felt like pure indulgence.
For the main, we went with the Sher Rib Eye MB9, cooked medium well. I’ll admit, I was a bit nervous about ordering it medium well (sometimes that dries out the steak), but Lucky Bo nailed it. The rib eye was tender, juicy, and full of flavor—absolutely delightful with every bite.
What made the experience even better was the artwork around the restaurant. The paintings and décor gave the place so much character, and it was nice to sit there and soak it all in while enjoying such a delicious meal.
If you’re looking for somewhere special with fantastic food and a cozy, creative atmosphere, Lucky Bo should definitely be on your list.
Great service and food as always. Only wish they extend their lunch menu to all day so we can still enjoy them for dinner! Went there recently to celebrate my birthday. Quite upset the iced peach tea was fizzy cos it was not written or informed on the menu, as all of us ordered those to start with and some of us can’t consume fizzy drinks.
The wagyu steaks are really good, juicy and tender. Nice dinner date ambience, good service. First time but won’t be the last.
Nice cosy place to dine. Wagyu tomahawk was grilled to perfection and the char koay teow was awesome. Salad was good and would recommend to order the cauliflower. The foie gra was average though.
