We ordered the Assam laksa, Siam Laksa, Curry Mee and Har Mee. All for RM 9 each.
Loved the Assam laksa and Siam laksa, it was tangy and just enough sweetness. Would’ve loved the Assam laksa to be spicier.
The curry Mee and har mee was pretty average, the broth wasn’t flavourful. However, the curry mee came with a good amount of blood cockles and they were delicious.
The stall is mended by 2 uncles, the uncle that is in charge of cooking was really grumpy when we were there but the other uncle was nice. Would return again for their Assam laksa and Siam laksa.
Lum Kee Laksa at Sec 14 sells one of the best Assam Laksa in Petaling Jaya. This stall sells Assam Laksa, Curry Laksa, Laksa Siam, Prawn Mee and Soup Noodles. My favourite is definitely the rich and tangy Assam Laksa that opens the palate to sour, spicy, sweet and savoury flavours. It is served with thick rice noodles and topped off with ‘otak udang’ (a thick salty sweet shrimp paste), mint leaves, pineapple and cucumber slices, onions, chillies and a generous amount of fish meat… so deliciously satisfying! We also like the Curry Laksa, Prawn Mee and Laksa Siam. Everything tasted so good!!
My friends and I went out of the way to try this place while we’re visiting Kuala Lumpur, and it was well worth the journey! Such a good laksa with incredible flavour, definitely a food highlight of our trip. Thank you!
The Siam laksa was good and the curry mee okay. Good to see the local Uncle still manning his own stall.
Very authentic Asam Laksa which cannot be found in KL or PJ these days. Curry laksa is delicious as well. Uncle is awesome! My mum has been coming here for almost 30 years as it’s her favourite Asam Laksa.
