I was very surprised at the service level. Service staff wasn’t attentive at all. We were seated for at least 20 minutes and nobody came to take our order. Also, not many choices on cuts in their meat fridge and most of the steaks were cut to less than 230g. I usually go for a hefty 300+g on my steaks. Also, I ordered medium rare but the steak came close to medium. Otherwise, the food had great taste. Went with two other guests and they found their food good too.
I recently visited this steakhouse and had a mixed experience.
What I liked:
– The wagyu steak was well-cooked and tasted great.
– I appreciated being able to choose my steak directly from the chiller, with clear labels for weight, price, cut, and marbling. This level of transparency is rare and adds a unique touch.
What could be improved:
– Unfortunately, the non-wagyu dishes were quite average.
– The fried broccoli was disappointing, coated in too much flour that wasn’t crispy, making it feel like eating oil-soaked flour with broccoli.
– The fresh juice seemed watered down, which took away from its quality.
– Service could be more efficient; there wasn’t enough staff on hand. I had to wait at the cashier with 2 other customers before someone came to process payment.
– Lastly, I spent over RM390 for two people, but I noticed a Malay customer ahead of me, who paid less for more people, was offered the option to register their phone number in the app. This wasn’t extended to me, and I wonder why.
Overall, while the wagyu steak was enjoyable, I feel the dining experience needs refinement to match the price point.
We went at about 2:30pm on the weekend and there were not many people. We received our food quite fast and there were 7 adults. The price was reasonable. If you’re not sure the price of the meat as its quoted by grams, just head over to the chiller to choose. They have indicated the price for each meat. Just a minus point, the cushion seat is not comfy at all so we asked to change to a proper dining table.
I ordered the Angus Burger, but it was my first time visiting this restaurant in The Curve. Unfortunately, the burger was dry and not juicy. I might come again another time to try some of their other menu items, especially the steak. Today, I was a bit rushed and just wanted a simple dish.
I had the most incredible birthday celebration at Me’nate Restaurant! The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal or a special occasion. The staff was incredibly friendly especially Sumon who’s patiently attentive, making sure every detail was just right.
