Food, not bad, not great hence 4 stars. Go for the pastas…not chicken chop. Atmosphere 2 stars, for a cafe or hotel price range, they could at least afford some tents to block the falling leaves and fans for the afternoon heat.
Our first time here. We came around 12pm on Friday and there is no queue. The place is comfortable. Service is fast for us, we only waited around 15-20 mins. Portion is big filled with beef and lamb 👍🏻 everything tasted good, but please request for less oil when you order the spaghetti. The spaghetti sauce is so oily so it is better to let them know beforehand.
The food is decent. I like how they flavoured the corn, it was sweet , a bit salty and bit spicy (peppery) im not sure myself but i loved it! Aglio Olio is good , not too oily and flavoured well. The chicken grill also tender and juicy with the black pepper gravy. The gravy is nice. Overall for this dish 8/10.
Chicken Alfredo Pasta : 9.5/10.
I came here around 3pm on friday evening so it was a little bit sunny. My seat takde khemah so a bit hot sikit tapi still manageable. Ambience 7/10. Took me around 15-20 minutes for my ordered to arrive. one of the best pasta you should try!
Food is delicious for us. The steak is ngam, the carbonara is delicious. Yes, as per other review, if you order ala carte chicken chop you will get only chicken chop with the gravy. I will come back again for the carbonara..
Thanks to the powerful influences of socmed, this place was bustling and busy during lunch hour between 1230 until 130pm.
Located by the roadside at Ara Damansara, this cute little warung brings you back to the days of eating the Malaysian way under a tent with no AC.
We were lucky to share a table with two other customers on a long table. There were around 7 tables within the big tent on the main floor. There were also a couple more tables right next to what seemed to be another former stall.
Once you are seated, scan for the menu and order from there. You can opt to pay before or after your meal. Drinks are self service and then you wait PATIENTLY for your meal.
Why do I say patiently? It is because as far I could see there was only one chef and an assistant; a friendly kakak helping out with the plating of the food.
You can also see the owner busy handling the front of the house and even going back and forth to the kitchen to help out – clearly they were understaffed whilst also handling the take away orders. There were times it was chaotic but the owner remained calm and soldiered on. I bet he never thought business would be this busy after the exposure he got.
We ordered the chicken chop and lamb chop sets which came with a side of aglio olio pasta which was abit spicy due to chili flakes in it, a side of mashed potato (another option were fried) and a corn salad too. Sauces choices: mushroom or black pepper or a mixture of both.
Both proteins tasted good and yummy. Chicken was tender and flavourful. Even my lamb chop but the portion was abit smaller vs to what I saw on socmed when they reviewed the place.
Due to the peak of the day, it took almost an hour for our chicken chop to arrive and the lamb chop order was missed out; luckily I went up to the kitchen to ask about only for them to realise that 🥹🥹
Be prepared to wait as while we were having our meal there were at least 6-8 sets of customers lining up by the pedestrian walkway under some big trees luckily on a not so hot day.
Overall, it was a nice experience coming to this place. Will I come again? Yes, to try their pastas but after the peak hours drg lunch time if possible but that would be aft 2pm 🥹
PS: Once you are done, you can show your online receipt if you have made your payment beforehand to the owner prior to leaving.
