Neighbours Coffee – Seri Gembira Avenue

Neighbours Cafe has quickly become one of our favorites, and for good reason! Their souffle is an absolute standout – easily the best I’ve had among all the cafes I’ve visited. The texture is perfectly light and fluffy, with just the right balance of sweetness. While the souffle alone could have made our visit worthwhile, we didn’t order it this time since we were there for breakfast. But if you’re visiting, it’s definitely a must-try!

Instead, we opted for another favorite dish of ours – the Curry Chicken Karaage. This dish is nothing short of exceptional. The fried chicken is topped with a mysterious ingredient that adds a unique and irresistible flavor, elevating the entire dish. The rice is another highlight , it’s soft, fluffy, and reminds me of premium Japanese rice. Pairing the rice with their sauce creates a harmonious balance of textures and flavors. The curry sauce itself is rich, creamy, and absolutely addictive – we couldn’t get enough of it. The portion size is also worth mentioning; it’s hearty enough for two people to share and leave completely satisfied.

For a lighter addition, we also tried their croissant, and it was a pleasant surprise. At first glance, it didn’t look particularly appealing, but the staff thoughtfully warmed it up for us, and that made all the difference. The exterior was flaky and buttery, while the interior was soft and slightly chewy – a delightful treat that paired wonderfully with our drinks.

Speaking of drinks, their Hot Latte deserves a special mention. The foam was silky smooth, and the coffee itself had a rich and robust flavor that was perfectly balanced – not too bitter, not too sweet. It’s one of those lattes that you savor slowly, appreciating every sip.

The only small drawback is the parking situation. To access the cafe, you’ll need to park in a paid parking lot, as street parking is no longer allowed in the area. While this might be a slight inconvenience, it’s definitely worth it for the quality of food and service you’ll receive here.

Overall, this cafe delivers an exceptional dining experience, from their well-executed dishes to their warm and attentive service. Whether you’re in the mood for a decadent souffle, a satisfying main course, or just a great cup of coffee, this is a spot you won’t want to miss. Highly recommended!

Random find as we were exploring for dessert. Located within a commercial complex. Simple cafe overlooking the city. Messy layout. Paid parking available. Service was meh. Could be cleaner. Bit pricey.

We ordered their famous souffle pancakes to share. Well presented. Jiggly. Nice soft texture. Not too sweet. Goes well with the berry compote, nuts and cream. Can get cloying so best to share.

For drinks we had their cold brew & hot tea. The coffee was good. Roasty & rich. Tea was served in a cute but impractical tea pot. However it was a nice tea blend.

Overall an okay dessert stop. Doubt will return though as nothing special.

This quiet cozy little cafe has nice views of the city.
The pancake and omelette is above average, it’s a pity however, the pancakes were a bit cold when served. Their flat white was also good.
Would recommend it if you prefer a quiet place for weekend breakfast.
