First time visiting, recommended by a friend, this hidden gem, tucked away amongst the internal shoplots of Sunway Mentari, is worth seeking out. 😀
Their undiluted butter green tea was the first point of contact and has set the stage for an above-average dining experience. 🍵
The sashimi is thick and flavorful, while the oyakodon is a pleasant surprise, refreshingly less salty than most! 🍣
However, some dishes fall short: the gyoza lacks flavor and has a mushy texture, the cha soba is sticky with a strangely flavored dipping sauce, and the kitsune udon is simply unremarkable.
Despite these shortcomings, the generous portions and decent price point (around RM35) make it worthwhile, especially given the easy parking, even during dinner hours. The service staff is also fast to serve and quick to clear our finished dishes. The atmosphere is also pretty modern with some traditional Japanese room setups for a more authentic experience.
Overall, this restaurant is a great choice for their lunch and dinner sets, focusing on the highlights like the sashimi and oyakodon.

Been coming here since 2012. The quality of food has often been about 95% consistent throughout my 12 years experience with them.
The team is very accommodating and does their best to give their all. The owner, Janet is very friendly and attentive too. And food is superb!
I love their salmon shioyaki, prawn tempura, koebi karaage, tori kaarage, and chawanmushi. Ohhhh!! N their grilled squid is a must! Nicely smoky n juicy!
Nice environment, the food portion is quite big and the ingredients are very fresh. Ordered a salmon salad, tempura shrimp, karage and kimchi salmon soup, and it is sufficient for 3 persons. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the waiting time for the food to be serve is quite fast (around 20 minutes). Recommend to try the soup here as the ingredient is very fresh authentic.
I absolutely love this place! We celebrated my mom’s birthday here and ordered fried noodles, which were delicious. Food has a wonderful way of bringing people together, and this was a perfect choice for the occasion. Highly recommend for anyone looking to create memorable moments!
This is the second outlet after Old Klang Road, serving a wide range of traditional Japanese foods, including delicious 茶渍饭 (Chazuke). The environment is cozy, and the food is excellent, though the prices are slightly on the higher side. A great spot for authentic Japanese cuisine!
