We are currently having lunch now. Ordered the following
1.wanton noodle with salted chicken (10/10) and the soup which came with it was lightly seasoned. Noodles ( wanton noodles can get soggy and tastless) were tasty.texture a little soggy but the taste made up for it
2. Fried lobak. 10/10 crispy on the outside and butter soft inside. The way it should be.
3. Yam(5/10) texture was a little harder than what I like.
4. Chui kuih: nice according to the mother
5. Chicken curry and rice was okay 7/10 curry a tad thick.
6. Tangyuan with ginger. 10 for the ginger 2 for the balls which had thick skin.
We had a lovely meal
I would have all again except the chicken curry.
Passed by a few times but finally got to try their cendol today. Didn’t carry much expectations because didn’t want to be dissatisfied. Surprisingly it was okay. Not the best out there but good enough to satisfy my craving. Fresh and fragant santan, shaved ice smooth enough, pandan jelly has good texture, gula melaka also up to standard. Most importantly, no unnecessary toppings. Standard mall price, rm8 for cendol
Quite a wide variety of local favorites available. The pan mee was very good with tasty soup. The Assam fish quite good but not the freshest fish. The curry mee was not the best & took a long time to prepare… should have ordered the white curry mee instead. Steamed tapioca dessert is very good. Creamy & tasty not too sweet. Pumpkin dessert was nice too.
Update 9 Jan 2025
The pan mee is still the signature dish & soup is nice.
Excellent cendol n durian cendol with just the right amount of santan( coconut milk) brown sugar n v soft shaved ice… cendol of course was very good👍
I chose the normal cendol with extra corn;
My son chose the durian cendol… it was great👌👏🏻👏🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
I had an easy pickup process, and the Penang curry mee is fantastic—I can vouch for it being a true taste of home! I’ll definitely be ordering other items soon. I also tried the Penang prawn mee, which was fairly good, and the laksa. However, I ordered my laksa with extra noodles today, but they didn’t include them. I was starving since I hadn’t eaten since last night, so I had to complain to Foodpanda about it. Overall, the laksa was just okay—not the best version, of course, since I’m from Penang. Additionally, I found the takeaway drinks to be a bit small for the price. I really wish they would upsize the cup; it’s just too small, honestly.
On a positive note, the waitstaff are always so nice. They speak to me very kindly, especially the girl with the bright smile. There’s also a guy (I’m not sure of his nationality, but he’s not local) who was really nice as well.
