Love love their chilli crab. The gravy is to my liking and what I was expecting to taste. Strong ginger flavour and the occasional spring onion taste gives the gravy some sweet crunch to it.
1kg of crab as per waiter advice is for 2pax but I would say for 3 pax if you’re a small eater. Price for 1kg of crab is MYR 149 and total bill including 2 fresh coconuts, 3 sets of fried mantou and 1 chinese tea is MYR 189.
We dined in an air-conditioned area that is super comfortable & the only setback was the fishy smell upon entering the area. Will definitely come again!
We walked in on a sunday evening during CNY, and they were able to accommodate a group of 5 later in the evening.
I gave my phone number, and we went for a walk at the Pasar Malam. They called me within 15 minutes that the table was ready.
Good Yee Sang with fresh ingredients, plenty of salmon slices, and (most important) not too sweet.
Everything was good with a very attentive services. We got gloves, cracker and hammers for crabs.
For me the highlight was the Kampung Style La-La and the fried calamari.
The place is pork free, but you can still get some beers.
Pangkor Village Seafood Restaurant is one of our favourite go to place for anything seafood. We enjoyed their Butter Crab, Salted Egg Crab, Stir Fry Ginger & Garlic Lala Clams, Steamed Prawns, Curry Fish, Sambal Kangkung, and many more. The dishes we ordered tasted fresh and delicious. The Butter Crab dish was soooo creamy and we enjoyed dipping the Mantous into the sauce to eat…. yummy! Best to make reservations to avoid disappointment especially on weekends and public holidays. Cooking time may vary depending on what type of dishes you order.
We were looking forward to buying crabs for dinner and decided to try the crabs with takeaway, since parking is a challenge. The restaurant is located at the corner of the building block and one floor up, with an air-conditioning area and a non-aircon covered veranda overlooking the streets below. There is a promotion still on in September 2024. The 1kg of crabs, each around 500gms or size XL, is selling at RM128 instead of the usual RM178. We decided to order 1kg cooked in sweet & sour sauce and another 1kg in kam heong style. We found the crabs of decent size but the taste of the crabs came out satisfactory. The bill came to RM271.35, inclusive of service tax.

The service is decent, reflecting the typical experience one would expect at a Chinese restaurant.
