This Bak Kut Teh is quite average, and the price is significantly higher compared to other places. There are definitely better options nearby. The soup was okay, but despite requesting lean meat, I was still given quite a bit of fatty cuts.
The price is really on the high side, which might explain why there were barely any customers even on a Sunday afternoon.
On the positive side, the waitress was attentive and understanding, which made the experience slightly better. The environment was decent, but overall, I wouldn’t return given the pricing and quality.
Recently, I had the opportunity to visit a new restaurant located near my sister’s place for lunch. Upon our arrival, we were surprised to find the restaurant empty, despite it being a bit late. We opted to try their signature pork rib soup and pig intestine, but we were disappointed by the portion size. Despite requesting more soup, we were only given half of a smaller bowl. The waitress explained that the soup was made in a central kitchen, so refills were not possible. However, the wine-braised chicken was refreshing, and the soup was nourishing. We also sampled the vinegar-stewed pork, which was decent. Our surprise came when dishes we didn’t order, like braised eggs, appeared on our table, while some of our ordered dishes never arrived. Upon receiving the bill, we had to double-check as we were charged for items we didn’t receive. Overall, while the food tasted great, the limited soup options for customers and operational issues left us somewhat disappointed. Additionally, the small portion of bak kut Teh, priced at over $20 ringgit per serving, felt quite expensive.
I heard this branch changed management. I used to come here to dine. It was all good. Last night I went to buy the 3 layer pork, the pieces were in so big chunks like they they didn’t bother to cut them. I have been to many outlets they were all very standard in small pieces so we consumer easy to eat them. This branch obviously don’t follow the SOP. I see the meat so big I felt disgusted and coundn’t continue eating. It’s very bad. All workers were foreigners Burmese. The boss was not even there to supervise them. Very soon this outlet will go down to drain. Good luck. I won’t be coming here anymore.
Dry bak kut teh is nicer than the soup type. Overall, the food is okay but could be better.
Good location and probably the best bak kut teh in this area. The portion is small like having a fine-dining-bak-kut-teh here. Good service and the friendly lady, Ms Tai will offer you soup without me asking for it and refill my hot tea as well, not to mentioned it. You know actually you can cook it at home with your favourite meat. I got it from Lotus nearby my place. If you are lazy to cook, just go to this place for those bak kut teh lovers out there!
