I had an unforgettable birthday dinner at Poblano’s restaurant last night. The menu items we had were incredible: a frozen passionfruit margarita, chef’s fillet steak nachos, 200g Argentinian tenderloin steak with peppercorn sauce and chimichurri, garlic fries, chef salad, Mexican Flan and Mexican Tiramisu. The nachos and steak were the best I’ve ever had and I can’t stop thinking about the food a day later. I highly recommend Poblano’s for its reasonable prices, outstanding meat quality, and excellent service. In fact, I’d return to Malaysia again just to enjoy their dishes again!

The Mexican food at Poblano is to die for. We ordered 1. Prawn Chipotle 2. Lamb enchiladas 3. Fish burrito and 4. Truffle mushroom taco.
I know that Mexican food is very good but I didn’t know it’s THAT GOOD here. Love it.
The ambiance was nothing short of amazing, with lively Latin tunes setting the perfect mood for an unforgettable evening. The food? Absolutely phenomenal—without a doubt, the best I’ve had in Kuala Lumpur. The Argentinian beef was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, and the crispy sea bass was a masterpiece of flavor and texture. And the cocktails? Let me just say, the Spicy Lychee Margaritas were on another level—bold, refreshing, and utterly irresistible. This spot is a culinary gem and an experience you simply can’t miss!
Such an amazing restaurant! We have came here twice in the 2 weeks we have been in Malaysia and have loved it every time. First time we went there was live music and it was so brilliant and gave the dinner a good vibe. Staff are also so friendly and always greet you at the door. We don’t usually go to the same place twice if we are somewhere for a short period of time but we loved it. The fried olives were insane and the portion was huge. Drinks were also great. Definitely recommend 🙂
Latin food was not our first thought on our last night in Kuala Lumpur, but we are so glad we chose Poblano Kl. It was a short walk from our hotel and the weather was enjoyable. It is in a lively area with several other restaurants. We sat indoors as the terrace was close to full.
The service and food were great. My wife ordered a spicy margarita, and it was hotter than she expected though she loved it. We both had delicious meals and the poblano pepper appetizers were fantastic.
We talked with the owner after eating and we appreciated being able to support a small business. My wife was curious about the backstory of the restaurant and was not disappointed.
A fantastic place for a relaxing and tasty meal.
