Read a review in the local newspaper and visited on Father’s Day – it’s very rare to find chappati in kelana jaya so worth a visit. This halal certified restaurant was busy but it wasn’t packed to the brim. We waited a while to be seated. We were then told to go to the counter to order – you pay then or after your meal. Tried a chapati kebab – it was a little too skinny. A chapati cheese – which was quite good though i wish they’d serve it with chick peas and a roti bakar set – this was well soggy and tasted funny with margerine and not butter. Had a milk tea with no sugar which was watered down. I see other interesting bites, my stomach says ‘go for it’, but my head tells me otherwise.
We regularly ordered Fish Mendy takeaway for family dinners. The spices on fish when squeezed with lemons added a tangy zest we love. Our recent Chicken Mendy takeaway for large family dinner was prepared in a tray (to return). We were impressed and thankful! Saved us the plating time.
Recommend to come here by a good friend . As per mentioned by her- delicious food but poor customer service. The dishes are quite similar to northern Indian cuisine . Kinda like a hybrid. The workers here are kinda rude to customer .
I tried the biryani ayam it’s okay I think they need to cook the chicken more .. overall I loved the place and I will try the Mandy next time..
Specifically came to this place after reading good stuff about it. Tried the chapati, mutton keema, ayam masak merah and bendi which were all sooooo delicious. The lady owner overheard me saying that chapati is so overrated/normal then she explained that their chapati is different. Man, she was absolutely right. Chapati was soooo soft and fluffy! Also packed a shawarma to go and I am absolutely coming back to try the mandy, briyani etc. Only down part is that they kinda have limited seatings as it can be a bit crowded.
