Found an excellent dai chow with excellent service to match.
Everyone was polite and helpful, from the person who took my order, to the waiter who offered to order satay for us, to the waitress who served us.
Food was served fresh and fast even though it was starting to be busy on a weekend evening after 6.30pm. The place was also rather clean.
Ginger and spring onion sliced fish was fresh and delicious.
Family also loved the One Stick Bone (一支骨) and enjoyed the yam ring with kung po chicken, an interesting variation. Every dish was neither too oily nor salty, perfect for us.
Highly recommended and will return.
Foods here are great. Always packed with people especially during weekend.
One of my favorite places to go to. I love the taufu with crab roe. The bitter gourd with beans sprouts is something different and good! The service is fast and good. Parking around here can be challenging though.
Be early if you want to avoid the crowds. Tried their specialty items but didn’t wow my palate.
Tried the seafood tofu which is interesting. It’s egg tofu with sauce made with salted egg yolk, crab meat and some shrimps.
Potato leaves was kinda aged so the steam was quite a bit of chew.
Marmite pork – marmite taste ok but the pork flavor missing.
The dried hor fan 干炒河粉 lacking wok hey but was accepted.
Satay was worth trying. Beef satay tasted better than the ayam.
Overall fast service and dishes were acceptable. Won’t come all the way unless am in the area.
A tai chau in Damansara Kim that is popular with families. By 7+pm, nearly all the tables were occupied.
Food served here is decent but not memorable to the point that I would drive my way here for a repeat visit.
The sliced fish with ginger slices and spring onions was excellent. The fish slices were fresh and coated with a tasty sauce. Perfect with rice. Braised pork rib with mantou was average, a tad sweet for me. The fried bittergourd with egg was a bit bland and the tofu with minced meat could do with a bit more sauce (to be fair, their pic illustration did show a dry dish). Choy sum with olive was a bit salty but ok with rice.
All in all, pretty average. Convenient location for a family dinner (if you can find a carpark that is!!)
