The creamy mushroom tasted really good. We tried the Eat-All-You-Can pasta. Each pasta was freshly prepared and served hot as our order. A small quantity per serving, allowed us to finish them fast and try another pasta on the menu.
There are 2 types of seating, limited seating on the inside and more tables outdoors by the lake. The view is very beautiful, with a fountain in the middle of the lake.
First experience here, recommended by social media. I would say the atmosphere here is suitable for any special occasion or family gathering especially of their lake view. Parking cost me RM4 for around 2 hours and you can easily find it here.
Food served fast because the restaurant is not crowded around 7pm on Sunday. We ordered Seafood Jambalaya and Blackened Cajun Chicken. Jambalaya included mussels, clams, sausages, squids, shrimps and crab sticks. The portion is big enough for 2 persons. Chicken tastes not bad but it will be better if the portion is bigger with the price.
Will visit Lago by the Lake next door as it is same owner with this restaurant according to the staff.
I came here few years before and the food was really good. However this time around the food was very bland and not as per expectation. Overall we spend rm212 for 2 people including lakeside View fee rm35. Not worthy and will not repeat,
1. Mushroom soup (4/10) – it came with a bread that is not crunchy at all and the soup was OK only
2. Blackened red fish (2/10) – very very bland and too much sauce
3. Jerky jerk chicken (3/10) – some part of the chicken not fully cooked and the sauce is terrible. Do something about the sauce pls
4. Smoked Salmon Bruchet (4/10) – this is OK but they need to do something about the bread. It’s not fresh and not crunchy at all and ruined the overall experience
This is my 2nd time here. My first time here, I wanted to rate this place 5 stars. My second visit… Decided this is the rating. Why?
Well I can understand why the high ratings and many reviews. I do say this place deserves it. Just that in my humble opinion, a bit over-rated la.
Had the Shrimp and Crawfish soup. To me, the soup was quite good. However, can’t really taste the freshness of the seafood. Maybe it is just a preference thing. Oh, the accompanying bread… Sigh. It just shows LACK of EFFORT. So disappointed with such a simple thing. Maybe business too good?
The Beefy and Mushroom Pizza was good. Would not mind ordering it again. Just that I’m not sure if will return or not.
Service staff was actually quite good, the issue… Place is too big la, you might need to place bell buttons on the table. The customers had to walk all the way to get the attention of the staff. Don’t blame the staff. Boss maybe just too focused on making money.
I noticed there’s a new competitor next door… Let’s see how…
All the best to both places
Booked a table for two here and decided to try their gumbo and crawfish boil to experience new cuisines
The gumbo was fairly nice as a starter but I don’t know why it wasn’t paired with rice and instead it came with toast which has a texture of cardboard.
After which the crayfish boil was served, it came with some sort of butter but upon tasting it, was actually margarine instead. For Rm60 I was hoping for actual butter to be served.
Both dishes were decent but the poor quality sides completely turned from what could be a 7 or 8 to a 5/10, and for the price I would rather try something else
