was a little skeptical when i first arrived, shop was empty at 7.30pm on a Saturday. took the bullet and gave it a go anyway, and there’s only one word to describe it: “wholesome”.
the claypot chicken rice is seriously underrated- it was cooked to perfection. each grain of rice is dry, well seasoned and the flavour of the chicken is perfect. chicken meat was juicy, flavourful and tender. the saltiness of the dish is perfect too, so well balanced. smokey and well seasoned overall.
such a hidden gem, will return again.
Tried their Claypot Chicken rice and it was pretty good 🍗
The aromatic spices used and sourness from the fish paste made the dish quite rich as it packed quite a lot of flavour and was a bit sweet. The cool breeze at night from the outdoor seating area makes the experience better too as there were also appropriate lights around the area making it not too dark to enjoy the food.
The soup was very good and it is a must add on to pair with the main course. I ordered myself a white carrot soup with oysters and old cucumber soup, from what I have tasted they don’t use too much MSG in it so that’s good 👍🏻
The staff were friendly and quick when serving and taking our orders but you have to know what you want beforehand as they don’t introduce dishes for you to try.
If you’re looking for a quick snack around the Kota Damansara area, with outdoor seating and a slightly quiet environment to enjoy the moment then this place is recommended for you.
Good delicious local food love by many. Seldom find such tasty Claypot rice in this area. Sharing by the boss how food is prepared really surprise me how much work need to be done for simple dish like this. Second surprise to me is the selection of Vietnam dish. And I taste very good as well. Will come back for more.
Pretty good claypot chicken rice with added on Salted Fish. Yummy. Good thing is this place opens until 9.30pm. I love their claypot shaoxin wine lala here. The lala is big, cleaned properly and cooked to perfection! Also ordered their White Radish Soup. They have Vietnamese food here too but that’s not what we are here for this round 😂
I regretted seated indoor should have seat outdoor lol 😂, was sweating dining here . The big claypot chicken rice ( not enough chicken for 2 adults compared to other similar food ) we pre ordered the coconut soup which sold off pretty fast , wanted to try lala but sold out , boss was friendly
