A comfort food to have in the food court is this chicken rice. Atmosphere not the best but acceptable.
Ordered white chicken and gizzard. Price at RM12 which is ok given that I have the full thigh potion and this price has maintained since 2022(I always eat this package).
Chicken are smooth but yeah not so much wow factor. One thing I like is the curry which is nice and not too spicy. Pair well with the rice. They have a lot other options like roast pork, char siew and more which are ok too.
Ordered also carrot milk at RM4 which are ok too as the price has maintained since the last time I had.
Good choice to eat especially if your office are around that area. Recommended.
One of the best Chicken Curry Rice in PJ that carries the old taste from the 80s & 90s. For new foodies, hard to understand, but for the old foodies, this is probably one of the last remaining traditional Chinese Chicken Curry Rice left. The uncle & aunty cooks it the old school way, and the taste is amazing.
They also sell traditional Roasted Chicken, White Chicken, Char Siew & Siew Yoke Rice. And they have wan tan mee as well. Sadly, only the uncle & aunty are running this stall with no one to take over. But seriously, this is one of the best around, and again, for the older generation, this matched the old taste. Location is inside the Medan Selera food court, and not a restaurant or cafe ya.
Every neighbourhood needs a local chicken rice stall that serves consistently tasty fare at a reasonable price. Run by the sweetest old couple, this is one such place. Ticks everything I look for in a neighbourhood chicken rice stall.
Rice taste normal, it doesn’t melt into my mouth 😩 chicken was great a bit hard.
The traditional taste really stood out, reminding me of the flavours I used to taste (especially the chilli sauce). The portion size was huge, more than enough to satisfy, and the prices were very reasonable.
