It is very amazing experience dining here in skillet. Everything from appetizer to dessert are taste super excellent and unique. Presentation are perfect too. Thanks to Chef Eric Lee and kitchen team for the good cooking skills. Thank you so much for Princess and team of service front of the house. They are very professional in serving every single courses with their clear explanation. Much appreciated 👍 with all the wonderful effort 💯💯💯
Delicious food, affordable price point, great service too.
Came here for my birthday celebration, the crew was so nice to present greeting card with my photo printed (on the spot). What a lovely guesture. Bravo to the team.
First of all, this restaurant is very expensive. At RM530 per person for the course meal, I expected a much higher standard. Unfortunately, the food did not match up to the price. The only dish that stood out was the wagyu, but that came with an additional RM200 charge—on top of the already hefty price.
The rest of the main course looked mediocre, and the snapper was completely tasteless, fishy and bland. Surprisingly, the second-best dish was the citrus cherry lollipop palette cleanser—very appetizing and unique, but it’s ridiculous that a palette cleanser is one of the highlights of the meal.
Now for the worst dish: the beetroot tartare. EXTREMELY BAD. I’m not a picky eater, but this dish was just off in every way. The flavors clashed terribly, and the fish roe topping made it taste fishy in the worst way. When I gave my feedback to the waiter, all I got was a simple “we’ll let the chef know”—nothing more.
The starters were fine, but nothing remarkable. The dried longan bread was just so-so, and the desserts were similarly underwhelming.
For a restaurant in this price range, I expected far better execution. The service was decent, but the chef and the team seriously need to step up their game. If they continue to run the kitchen as it is, they can forget about ever being awarded Michelin stars. Their skills and creativity need serious improvement.
Absolutely awful place. I can’t fathom the 5 star reviews here, and would highly advise others not to be deceived like me by such reviews. We went for the RM600(?)/pax dinner set. Food was very underwhelming and very forgettable (see pictures of the pathetic & unimaginative plating below).
The thing that irked me most was when I specially added on the foie gras, and it came out rubbery and dry. When I highlighted this to the server, he just laughed and said that’s how foie gras should be????? My good man, what kind of foie gras have you been serving that’s rubbery. Inconceivable and shameful.
Also, for the price I’m paying, I had expected the ambiance to be top notch, given that similar restaurants offer sky dining at the same price. Nope, this restaurant is situated on the ground floor of a dilapidated building that’s almost falling apart, with questionable parking. I hope you like your fine dining with the view of the road/ back alley with motorcycles streaming past you.
This place is a huge scam. Fine dining price with low quality food, service and ambiance. They should be ashamed of themselves to even call themselves a fine dining restaurant.
I celebrated my birthday at Skillet in KL recently, and it was a truly memorable experience. I enjoyed their Autumn/Winter seasonal menu this time around, and every dish I tried was exceptional. For my main course, I had the snapper fish, beautifully flavored with white radish, sauerkraut, and a touch of Shaoxing wine, a superb combination of flavors!
The attention to detail, creative menu, and quality of the food made the evening special. Highly recommend Skillet for an elevated dining experience in KL
