Soi 55 Kayu Ara – Thai Food That Hits the Spot Every Time
This is our 4th visit to Soi 55 Kayu Ara, and honestly, we’ve lost count of how many times we’ve ordered on GrabFood. The food here is super consistent, the portions are generous, and it always hits the spot when we’re craving good Thai food.
One thing we really appreciate is their membership program—they actually send you free food coupons! Last month, they gave me a free Siakap Garlic voucher worth RM48. I thought it would be a small piece, but it was a full-sized dish! That kind of generosity is rare these days.
Our Must-Try Favorites:
• Siakap Special Chili Sauce – The fish is fresh, crispy on the outside, tender inside, and the sauce? Sweet, spicy, and super shiok—perfect with rice.
• Tomyam Red Soup – The broth is rich, kaw, and full of umami. Spicy, a bit sour, and packed with seafood—it’s honestly better than what some hotels or atas Thai places serve.
• Thai Milk Tea – Not too sweet, smooth, and super fragrant.
We ordered fish steamed lime and omelette for foods. The broth for the fish is so full of flavours ( sweet, sour and spicy) . The omelette is also nice and crunchy. The drinks we ordered thai milk tea and watermelon juice. The milk tea is nice, not too sweet and the watermelon also tasty. Overall nice experience.
Quick service, delicious food, nice ambience, friendly staff
Creamy rich Tom yum soup
Soft non fishy nor spicy fish cake
Crunchy fried fish & indi fried garlic
….. If can resolve parking…
We ordered seafood tom yum, Basil chicken, pandan chicken, kangkung belacan, ruby dessert and mango sticky rice.
Thai milk tea, honey lemon bluepea flower, lemongrass water, and calamansi Asam boi.
All our foods and drinks were good. Staff were helpful and friendly. Very accommodating when we requested for the aircond to be less cold as we had a senior with us.
Definitely would be back again. We enjoyed the food and loved our dinner here.
Came for dinner. Had the rice and noodle. Taste is ok. Pineapple fried rice had the wok hei. Quite good. Taste can be stronger. Basil chicken rice was ok. Laksa noodle has a stronger flavour. Unfortunately its only chicken feet.
