The pork ragu was dry, pappardelle was clumped together. The capellini was alright. Tiramisu was extra wet in the middle and not as wet at the sides. Only dish that did not disappoint was the mushroom soup bcos we didn’t have any expectations for it. Plating for all dishes was decent and visually appealing. The reviews on Xiaohongshu set high expectations, unfortunately it didn’t live up to them for me and my friends. The interior and service were decent, but I don’t see myself returning.

Top-Notch Dining Experience! Dining at Staple Doughs was an absolute treat! The pappardelle pasta had a fantastic depth of flavor, and the truffle pasta was the highlight, with add on of generous shavings of truffle and a runny egg yolk that made it extra creamy. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, served with a unique caviar dipping sauce that was just perfect. The combination of flavors, presentation, and ambiance made for a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended!

We’ve been looking forward to trying for quite some time, but unfortunately, our visit turned out to be a big disappointment. Given the hype and the pricing, we expected a much better dining experience.

The Pork Ragu Pappardelle was bland instead of being too salty like what we’ve read from other reviews. It didn’t stand out in terms of texture (could be too firm for some people) or taste.

The Truffle Cream Pasta was unremarkable at best. At RM99, we expected much more but it tasted like pasta with truffle that we’ve had somewhere else for half of the price. Definitely not worth it in our opinion.

The Truffle Fries ironically turned out to be the best dish of all even though it was just a side. The truffle taste was strong, and they were decent overall, but sadly not something exceptional.

The Tiramisu was by far the worst we’ve ever had. It was wet, soggy, and had a terrible texture.

Overall, the food was underwhelming, and nothing really stood out. Sadly, it’s not place we’ll be returning to despite our initial excitement 🙁

Came here to try their pasta and they truly did not disappoint! Wished the portions were a little more filling for my tummy. The dessert was a delightful surprise too.

We were lucky to walk in and get a spot (we noticed many tables were reserved, so maybe best do that if you’re planning to visit).

    Food:
    • Appetizers: Portions were small, but the burrata salad, salmon mosaic, and truffle fries were enjoyable.
    • Mains: The pasta was cooked al dente, but the flavors were underwhelming. Most dishes lacked balance, with one being overly umami to the point of being inedible.
    • Desserts: The pistachio mousse was the highlight, but the tiramisu was disappointing.

Service: Unfortunately, service was a letdown. Dishes were not served on time, and they forgot two of our orders despite us repeating them.

Ambiance: The atmosphere was lovely, which was the saving grace of the experience.

Overall, I wouldn’t return due to the inconsistent food quality and poor service.
