Enjoyed their yakitori. Their pork belly was yummy but slightly salty. Enjoyed their chicken thigh & skin too. I love the butter sweet potato!! Didn’t like the rice ball tho. The place is small & has limited seats so do make a reservation. It gets smokey & it’s kinda warm inside. Paid RM50 per pax for 5 diners.

Foods are definitely high standard.
The whole place also feels like in Japan izakaya.( small and smoky )
The waiter patiently explained all the foods and recommendations, he also recommend some hidden dishes that’s not on the menu.
The raw scallop Sashimi is good.🍣
The chef is a Japanese.
Overall is good
Only downside is that it’s too little for me, and expensive
This yakitori place has been around for quite some time and we have been trying to secure a booking before but usually weekends they are pretty full, so making a reservation is advisable.
We were seated at the counter with a clear view of Ota-San doing what he does best. Non stop grilling skewers of different kind of meats, vegetables, innards etc..
On the wall next to the cashier counter are the ‘specials’ which were written in Japanese so pls refer with the staff on what’s available.
We were served like an appetiser of a cabbage salad marinated with a dressing (note: we were charged RM18 for a dish which appeared as OPEN FOOD on our bill. Pretty sure it was for this dish so if you do come across this pls refer back with their staff for which dish was this charged for)
We had a nice refreshing green salad as recommended by their staff (could not recall the name).
Their beef oden soup with whole egg was good (recommended) it had a robust flavour yet it was comforting to slurp down. Grilled corn was sweet. We had a few skewered meat and they were tender and tasty.
Onigiri was satisfying with some charred bits on the outer part. And a personal favourite if I see on any menu: honey butter sweet potato; sweet, sticky and yummy 😋
And to end the meal; a purin aka custard pudding. Simple yet comforting.
Bill came up to abt RM150+ for 2 pax.
Can’t say that it was cheap to dine there but we had a good meal there. So yes..
Nestled in Subang, this authentic Japanese yakitori spot holds a special place in your heart, even after 8 years. The taste remains impeccable, a testament to the chefs’ exceptional skills. Every skewer showcases expertly grilled meats, cooked to perfection. You particularly relish the carefully prepared and seasoned chicken internal organs—liver, heart, skins, neck meat, and blood vessels—each bursting with flavor. A must-order is their beef soup, best enjoyed with a hint of wasabi, elevating the meat’s taste to new heights. This restaurant truly excels in delivering an unforgettable dining experience.
Delicious yakitori with an authentic Japanese feel and usually filled up with Japanese customers! Honestly, every skewer that we ordered were grilled to perfection. The taste was just right and the meat / vege stayed juicy – probably because the Japanese chef was the only one cooking to maintain quality control. Though packed with patrons, service was quick and attentive. This hidden gem is located in the 2nd floor with almost an unnoticeable signboard. It’s right above bang ga bang ga.
Because it’s always crowded, do make a reservation, especially on weekends to ensure you have a seat.
Recommendation: pork belly, corn, chicken skin, squid, mushroom, pork belly slice with rice cake, scallop (grilled or sashimi)
