First experience dining at this restaurant. Absolutely delicious. The taste of the mango salad is just rite, the pork belly set menu is out of this world and the pork ball noodle soup set is so tasty. Dessert taste perfect. Well satisfied. Thumbs up to the chef and staff 😍
Visited several times, one of the only non-halal Thai restaurants in 1 Utama. Thai Hou Sek has been around for quite a while and has continued to be a solid favourite for many 1 utama goers.
We personally enjoy their Thai milk tea as it is delicious and not that sweet. You can always help yourself to a free sample at the front of the shop which I find to be welcoming. 😀
Furthermore, throughout the years they also have some promotions and discounts for their meals which actually makes it quite worth your money for the above average portions that you will get for the meal sets that often come with a free drink such as pandan water which I really like.
Food wise, it’s considered above average. We ordered the Thai pork stew and Mama Mee with Thai Satay Stick and they were both delicious, full of flavour, spice & texture. The mango salad is also delicious but the sauce is quite spicy so be ready. The Tam Tim Krab is also great, not too sweet and full of fruity goodness.
The service is especially good for this visit as our attending service staff Mizan has great meal recommendations.
As it is always packed during dining hours, coming just earlier or later will definitely ensure you a seat at the restaurant.
Overall, a solid Thai restaurant and it’s worth revisiting.

It was my first time dining here.. after hearing about it from friends and family. I was tempted to try the Baby Kailan with Siew Yuk 😋 From the moment I walked in, there was great service, especially from Mizan who has really helpful and kind 🙂 I was given a free Moo Ping that was really delicious .. and also informed about the ongoing promotions via stamp card for Lunar New Year. I loved the Baby Kailan I ordered and the Thai Rose Milk Tea! Comfortable environment.. despite it being full-house with the lunch crowd, the staff were very quick and attentive. If there’s a chance, I’d come back again 😀
We weren’t planning to eat at Thai Hou Sek but walked past and decided to pop in since I remembered seeing good reviews online. It wasn’t a full meal—just some small bites because we were feeling greedy and mouth itchy after dinner.
The food was fantastic, as expected! Super oily with all the deep-fried goodness—sinful but really satisfying. Perfect for a late-night snack to curb those cravings.
If I get the chance, I’d definitely come back for a proper meal and try more of their dishes!
Basically I have nothing to complain.
The food is good , the price is great and most importantly taste delicious.
Rice can refill.
Set meals are sure to full .
Rm250 can feed 9 pax happily with drinks and fish.
They even give u tower drinks on your birthday for FREE.
