I was looking for a place to enjoy a peaceful lunch away from the usual lunchtime crowd in Damansara Uptown when I stumbled upon this restaurant. The waiter at the counter greeted me warmly and took my order. Since it was my first time here, I decided to try the House Platter B, which includes five different chicken flavours.
The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Each flavour was well-executed with an authentic taste, and the spicy one was genuinely spicy—just as the waiter had warned me! Overall, the food was delicious and well-prepared.
One suggestion for improvement: the music in the restaurant was a bit too loud and could be toned down for a more comfortable dining experience. Additionally, I’d recommend distributing flyers around Uptown to increase awareness, as I only discovered this place by chance. As I write this review at 1:35 PM on a Thursday lunch break, I’m the only customer here, which is surprising given the quality of the food.
Chicken is cooked when you order, so its really hot and juicy! Honey butter and soy garlic is a safe choice thats always nice. Hot coconut milk might feel ikky on the 2nd chicken, cheese floss is nice, magic snack feels like just adding the chili powder to me.
Place is really clean and aesthetic though. The chicken style is korean style but place is designed in 80s american style. Toilet is very clean! Inside the toilet got conteng, feels very aunthetic hahaha. Came at saturday 8pm, surprisingly no people.
Ordered big cup of drink (+rm2) but came small size 🥲
Another fried chicken outlet competing in uptown. They are serving Korean style fried chicken. Ordered wings option which can mix 2 flavour of the same price. I chooses milk flavour sweet plum and honey butter. Also ordered samyang noodle with coke.
Noodle was ok. Taste as what samyang nooodle should be.
Fried chicken both are served hot and juicy. Milk flavour doesn’t taste milk at all. It does have the milk scene. Could be due to sour plum taste overpowering it. Taste good with sweet and savoury profile.
Honey butter was my favourite. It is drenched with sauce and the honey sweetness pair really well with the juicy chicken.
Overall food are good. Atmosphere taken out of American diner style. Repeating Justin Bieber song play on and on is a bit irritating. Serving speed are kinda slow given that I was the only customer that time.
Will I repeat? Yes for the honey butter and maybe try some others flavour. But the place are really empty given it is lunch peak time not sure if they can survive since there is a lot of same akin restaurants around.
Let me summarise the pros and cons.
Pros
1. Honey butter flavor is sedap.
2. Freshly made.
3. Iced lemon tea doesn’t taste like it should be but its nice.
4. Interior design is nice and cosy.
Cons
1. Music is horrible! It’s loud, noisy…music selection doesn’t suit the ambience at all.
2. My chickens is fresh from the pan, the chicken is SO panas I can’t tear the meat. Such a bad serve.
3. Drumstick not cooked. See picture.
4. I like that all your tables have tissues but pleaseee get a proper hand soap. The soap you have is watery, doesn’t remove oil from my fingers.
5. Smell from kitchen is strong, when back home with my whole clothes smelling like fried chicken.
we ordered magic snack & honey butter and got magic snack & soy garlic instead.
among the 3 of us, 2 had already taken a bite off the supposed “honey butter” when we realised it’s not.
the waiter initially insisted that it was honey butter, until we pointed out the garlic bits. went back to the kitchen, and came back to ask us if it tasted like soy garlic instead.. to which we said again, yes – it was, and pointed out the garlic bits again.
nothing was done to remediate – didn’t offer to at least replace what we had left with our actual order – no discount for a mistake on their part.
saying that, the soy garlic was actually pretty good – magic snack was pretty average. to give a fair review, the chicken was actually cooked well – tender inside, even the breast, but then skin just wasn’t crispy, was chewy.
fries was typical frozen fries, also meh.
food was average but overall experience and customer service just wasn’t great.. honestly, if you don’t properly account for your customer’s feedback into the running of your business in this day and age… as what i think is the case from your response to other negative reviews.. i’m not sure if you’ll last long (as evidenced but your footfall relative to Hot Bird and Pretty’s).
and yes.. needless to say, we also weren’t one of those who posted a 5-star review for free ice cream 😂
