A nice Bali dinner with plenty of xhoices and extraordinary menu. a variety of dishes, cant get but you can get from here. Taste is delicious well marinated, meat are properly cooked. quite a similar authentic taste, it very different taste and another level compared to other Balinese restaurants at mall in Klang valley. This is more subtle taste, less salty less sweet with variety of spices, dishes cooked here has more vibrancy taste of Bali spices and menu are special and unique. The chickens, seafood and pork sausages and satay are uniquely delicious tastier. Highly recommend. Please adjourn to upstair for special seating with paddy field view. We really enjoy the food and atmosphere, with Balinese setting and feel like in Bali too.
From the first time going to Uma Bali which is located in the quieter area of Kota Damansara, I’ve been smitten by the Balinese style exterior and interior of the restaurant not forget to mention the awesome food.
It wasn’t easy affair as the restaurant is normally fully booked on weekends, just like what I’d experience prior to this. The sheer quality of food made me wanted to bring the extended family to try the food. I made early reservation as there were 11 of us.
A la carte food is available from the menu but for those who do not want to crack their head thinking on what to eat, they do have a few packages (set) that easily feed 3-4 pax. We ordered 2 sets of Paket A (RM145) consisted of:
Main dishes
◾Grilled Pork Ribs
◾Balinese Lamb Curry
◾Balinese Grilled Chicken
Standard dishes
◾Pork Sausage
◾Pork Satay
◾Fish Satay
◾Potato Fries
◾Vegetables
◾Egg Sambal
◾Sambal Tomat
◾Sambal Embo
◾Sambal Kecap
◾4 servings of rice – white, yellow or black bean rice (can mix!)
Never in my life to see such a hungry horde devouring the entire platter in record time.. the food was as good as I remembered as the meats were grilled competently and full of spices. We had to order few extra a la carte items as some of us were not satiated yet.
The value-for-money dish will be their packages so make sure to come in a group of at least 4 pax.
Love the authentic ambience, upstairs seating is tatami style, if not comfortable, better opt for the seating at the ground floor. If big group, better call to prebook. Definitely will come back to try the platter. Today just 2 of us, me and my son, can’t order much. Must try their pork satay. The fried chicken taste good when go with the black soya sauce and fried onions.
I will definitely return for their food!
We ordered 2 personal sets (grilled pork ribs and grilled chicken), pork sausage, and Kopi Bali.
The meat was so tender it fell off the bone, you can easily split them with fork and spoon. Seasoning was just nice, I personally love the red sambal!
Do give it a try if you’re looking for authentic Balinese food.
One of the few restaurants who gets a 5-star review from me. Love the sambal and portions are really good. Good for sharing if you have more people the platter is a good combo.
