LEGENDARY. ABSOLUTE GOATERY. Food is still elite and top notch. Better than ANY ayam penyet, ayam gepuk, ayam geprek joint in Malaysia. Used to come here all the time when I studied in Monash Sunway. Sad that they got hit hard by covid and had to relocated to a small stall/warung. Perhaps the ambiance isn’t the best, but I don’t mind it because the food is too good. Can’t go wrong with the fried chicken and the meatball type dish (pecel pentol?), washing it all down with a refreshing extra joss anggur. The sambal and soup combo is unmatched.
This warung has moved back to its original stall in the medan selera from occupying 2 shoplots last time, though the price is maintained from their shoplot days. The warung right next door sells nasi campur so if you’re not focused enough you might sidetrack.
Taste is still similar, with a little nostalgic feeling, chicken still hot and crunchy and salty enough to taste. Rawon daging wasn’t available during my visit while gulai kambing wasn’t ready yet at 1pm. Their extra joss jambu was also unavailable. As the stall is located at the corner unit expect some intense heat if visiting during lunch time.
One of the best Ayam Penyet & Pecel Lele. Back to their old place in a foodcourt. Parking is a bit difficult since it is in a narrow street. I went on Sunday so it’s not a problem.
Must try at least once to experience its simpleness yet delicious food.
Nice Indonesian food, specially for Indonesian that missed ayam penyet, pepes ikan, sayur asem, sate kambing, and gulai kambing. If you craving for tempe and bakwan also you can find it here.
Price is reasonable and service ok. Lunch time will be quite crowded but still acceptable.
Overall the food are good and great place to eat at lunch or dinner.
One of best experience Indonesian Food around Sunway , Ayam taste so Good ( Goreng Kering ) , Sambal is very Spicy , as usual comes with Nasi Porsi Kuli & soup . do not expect too much with Indonesian Warm Hospitality because you are in Malaysia now , Ayam Penyet + Standard Drink cost u around 11 MYR
