I come here often. The dishes here are a bit more special, so the prices are slightly higher. The flavors are generally on the stronger side.
Recommended:
Steamed Fish – Very fresh.
Salted Egg Tofu – Tasty, with a strong salted egg flavor.
Hot and Spicy Intestines – Pretty good, on the spicier side.
Crispy pork belly – crispy, good
Worth a try:
Yam Ring – Recommended with prawn paste, only available in one size.
Satay Sauce Chicken – A bit sweet, good for trying something different.
Tried the Chinese New Year lunch, and everyone was full of praises. Highly recommend the fried chicken in satay sauce, pork belly with homemade sauce, and salted egg yolk mantis prawn! The fish (Grouper) was fresh and well cooked, and yam basket came with tasty pork ribs. Newly opened for only a week so can come back again soon
We visited Yan Wo Seafood Restaurant for a Chinese New Year meal and had a great experience. The food was fresh and flavourful, with well-executed classic dishes that impressed everyone at the table. Service was attentive and efficient, even with the festive crowds. The lively atmosphere added to the celebratory mood, making it a great spot for a special gathering. Would definitely return for another meal.
Overall Tasty food but a little oily and salty than usual. Makes the meal feel ‘heavy’. Claypot Curry fish was rich and flavourful.
Food: it was pretty nice and above my expectation! I like the sauces of the prawn which taste like the black pepper sauce for sauces of western grilled chicken chop. On the other hand, the fish was slightly too sweet as it cooked with the yellow wine, which I have never try before. The vegetables poit which is one of their signature taste bad and bitter.
Service: it was ok, the staffs respond to our request quite fast and is helpful in food ordering as it was our first visit.
Atmosphere: it was conducive to have meal and there was upstairs(air conditioned) and downstairs (non airconditioned).
Personally, I think the price is pretty reasonable! The dishes below costs us about RM550 as we ordered thr fish and prawn.
Suggest to make booking in advance to secure your table and you can also enjoy the air conditioning.
