First thing you notice is the cleanliness! 5 star for that. You can check out their Garlic and Chili Padi Box, really hand picked and fresh. Dry BKT Is one of the best I’ve tasted and surprisingly the red wine chicken is so good!. Need to come back here as often as my doctor allows me to. Stay away from the soup bkt.
Restoran Yip Yong Klang Bah Ku Teh Version is strong herbal with a hint of bitterness. I eat alone so I order single pax of BKT (RM15). You can request the part of meat you want. I opt for half fat and the “collagen” is great. Sate fresh. I also order enoki mushroom (RM6.00). It’s come with a bowl of soup. I thought they will just add into my bkt. If I know the enoki will serve separately, I should order their signature dry BKT. Personally think the soup for enoki mushroom are more tasty. Strong herbal. Overall bill cost RM27. Not so sure how much for yaotiao, rice and herbal tea.
Environment and service are good. Affordable price and serving time is fast ( non-peak hour )
Visited on a thursday at around 6pm (place is recommended by a local KL friend). Ordered their dry bkt, bkt soup, tau pok and vegetables. Really good herbal bkt, makes you want more (and its refillable!). Not many bak kut in the soup, more pork belly, its good cause not alot of bones that you need to bite from, easier to eat and visibility more meat!! Menu does not have many to choose from, so it is easier to order. As there were not many customers that day, serving was quick too! There is a night market just right along the stretch of shophouse, so parking just have to park slightly away from it. Night market is good to walk around before or after eating, many varieties of local food and local produces. Will return to Yip Yong restaurant to try their pig trotter vinegar in future! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
One of the better dry bak ku teh restaurant. Their dry version outshines their soup version. The soup didnt have the oomph of the herbs and was rather weak. But the meat portion given was ok. Better than some. The pork vinegar is also ok. Price wise, it’s still remain RM16 for a bowl of bak ku teh while another bak ku teh outlet in Damansara Jaya have increased to RM20 but still cant give the same portion as Yip. Go here to try their dry bak ku teh.
Dry Bak Kut Teh tasted more rich in favour and aromatic. Soup base Bak Kut Teh is also nice. Chicken feet are more everybody’s choice. But to those who like it, you will love it here. Braised to taste while keeping the feet intact. Falling apart with the smallest bite. Perfect! What’s more? Boil your own tea to compliment the Bak Kut Teh to give a balance. Enjoy!
