The food portion wasn’t as small as how the reviews made them out to be . Japanese food are not meant to be jumbo size or “eat until you explode” type of thing… they’re more towards minimalistic concept and the price here was reasonable too. To top up, service was good 👍
We almost didn’t notice this Japanese restaurant at the end of the basement floor. We’re surprised with the quality of the food here – we enjoyed the Black Garlic Ramen! The skewers were delicious too!
It’s my first time trying out this restaurant, they serve Unagi don but I have to try their basic food first before I decide to splurge on something pricier. So here I go~
I ordered Teriyaki grilled chicken and Teriyaki Saba for takeaway, all looking good until I noticed that both protein are fried? I was so confused? I wanted to avoid fried food for that one meal but turns out the “grilled” chicken and fish were both fried food.
Plus, it’s a yakitori restaurant…I’m sure they have a grill…?
Taste is ok, portion is a lil small but still ok, but a little dishonest on the method of cooking.
Verdict: If you don’t mind your food coming out a little different from the menu, then it’s alright.
Celebrated a birthday here and it was such a good choice. The staff was attentive and we had an array of good foods to share.
Especially enjoyed the mini fried shrimps and tempura.
Great portions too. Will come back for lunch soon.
Portion size suitable for small eaters (not me). Bowl diameter comparable to finger length.
